HORTENSE PEINTURE
Contempory paintings inspired from the Mediteranean landcapes.
Artist
Hortense Bataille-Watkins lives and works in Marseille. After studying at the Fine Arts School in Caen and in several Parisian studios, she deepened her practice in watercolor, oil, and dry pastel during seven years in the United States alongside renowned American and Spanish painters, including Sebastian Cappela, Joan Grine, and Wolf Kahn.
Her work plays with light and shadow, exploring the intensity and harmony of color. Inspired by nature, she creates paintings that feel both abstract and dreamlike, conveying serenity, joy, and vibrant energy.
She has recently trained in art therapy and now leads intuitive painting workshops, offering a space for emotional expression, release, and creative exploration guided by intuition.
