OPENING (DECEMBER 22 TO 28) - 36 rue Etienne Marcel (75002) at Pepeuf

SEPTEMBER 2025 (FROM 11 TO 27) — Joint exhibition by Hortense Bataille & Laurent Minguet

Espace Jouenne at 41 rue Montgrand, 13006 Marseille, in collaboration with Gallery Peralta.

Two contemporary artists united in Marseille for a vibrant and contrasted exhibition, between dreamlike landscapes and sublimated architectures.

Hortense Bataille, a painter based in Marseille, explores the energy of nature through a vibrant palette, blending acrylic, dry pastel, watercolor, and painted collages. Trained in Paris, Caen, and the United States with recognized masters, she develops an intuitive, sensitive, and luminous pictorial style. Her canvases invite dreams and serenity while transmitting a communicative vitality, inspired by the sea and plant forms.

Laurent Minguet, an artist and designer from Toulouse, reinterprets urbanity with remarkable graphic precision. His works combine hyperrealism and abstraction on noble wood, playing with contrasts between raw material and monochrome acrylic paint. Controlled drips intentionally disrupt the rigor of the lines, infusing an organic vibration into these urban landscapes. Each composition, inspired by his travels through the world's megalopolises, captures architectural energy in a controlled tension between silence and movement.
